Coastal Carriage

When we came across the carriage, it was sitting in a field overgrown with ivy, with holes too numerous to mention.

It was in use on the rails from 1937 until the 1960s when it then made its way into service as storage for a nearby crofter.

Unable to resist the challenge of rescuing and recycling the carriage, we transported it to our farm and began the transformation from carriage to living space. Lovingly restored, it now boasts an eco friendly, back to basic experience for those looking to escape the hubbub of daily life.

Think simplicity, think lazy mornings under the covers gazing out to sea. You will long remember the sound of the cows grazing around you, the skylarks singing above you and the wild rugged coastline of the Moray Firth.
